Tumpak Sewu is ultimately wonderful waterfall, and is considered as the most beautiful waterfall in Java island or even throughout Indonesia, it has a unique formation resembling a widened curtain, looks beautiful and perfect when viewed from the top. Tumpak Sewu waterfall is approximately 120m high, the flow of water is swiftly sourced from Mount Semeru, the highest mountain in Java. Local community known this waterfall as Coban Sewu, administratively located in Lumajang district but bordering Malang Regency.

Itinerary

We will pick you up in Surabaya city, could be in your hotel, airport, train station or any other public places, then we will travel to the south heading toward Lumajang regency, it may takes about 4-5 hours drive following the road along the slopes of Mount Semeru.

When we arrived at the main gate of the waterfall, we have to walk along the stairs down around 15 minutes, and then we can see beautiful panorama of Tumpak waterfall. It is ultimately beautiful waterfall lines up in front of you, you can take as many picture as you want it.

Once satisfied enjoying the beauty of Tumpak Sewu Waterfall, we will follow the same path to get back to the parking area. Next, we will transfer you back to Surabaya city and we will drop you off at your hotel, airport or train station. Tour done.

This Tumpak Sewu tour basically will takes you to the view point where you can see the beautiful panorama of Tumpak Sewu waterfall, if you want to get down to the waterfall you need to pay additionally for it, find more about it in optional addon service for this tour.
To reach the Tumpak Sewu waterfall site, you need to do around 800m trekking down the stairs and rocky path and crossing the river, it takes around 30-40 minutes depends to your stamina.
The trekking path to Tumpak Sewu waterfall site will also pass Goa Tetes waterfall.
Trekking down to the waterfall site is not recommended for any one with physical disability or old people.
When you have completed your booking, we will send you the name of our officer who will be in charge for your tour along with the phone number at the latest 1 day before tour departure.
Itinerary may changes depends to the pick up location, pick up time, traffic conditions and other situations during the tour.
This tour is recommend during dry season or within May to October every year.
During the peak of rainy season (within December up to March) you can still visit Tumpak sewu waterfall to see the panorama but it is not recommended to get down to the waterfall, its too dangerous, unexpected sudden raining may cause flash flood.
