Muncar is a famous traditional fishing village in Banyuwangi, it situated at the eastern tip of Java island faced to Bali strait, most of Muncar people whol lived around the coastal area depends their livelihood to the sea, no wonder if Muncar Fish Auction Site (Tempat Pelelangan Ikan) is now became one of the largest fish auction market in Java island.

This traditional fishing trip will invite you to do fishing just like local people did it in traditional way, it will be departed from the fishing port in Muncar – Banyuwangi (around 1,5 hours drive from the city center) and take you for ground fishing around some traditional fishing spots at the waters around Muncar coastal, some of commonly acquired fish are Grouper, Giant Travely and many other fishes.

Itinerary

We will pick up you from your hotel, airport or any other places around Banyuwangi city very early morning after short introduction and a brief chat we will drive to Muncar fishing harbor, it takes around 1,5 hours drive from the city center.

After you have arrived at Muncar fishing port, we will directly take you to meet with local fisherman who will take car of you for this fishing trip. After checking all necessary fishing equipment, we will start this trip until the next 5 hours and takes you to the the best fishing spot around Muncar area, we will back again to this port and the trip ended.
