Description

Melampa Tour – Rammang-Rammang is a place in the karst mountain range in Maros-Pangkep. It settled in Salenrang village, Bontoa district, Maros, South Sulawesi province, or about 40 km north of Makassar.

Rammang Rammang Lime stone forest scattered for about 45.000 hectares and this is the third largest karst areas in the world, after Tsingy in Madagascar and Shilin in China. There are two stone forest park complexes in Rammang-Rammang that located in the north and in the south.

The name of “Rammang-Rammang” comes from the language of Makassar, where rammang means “cloud” or “mist”. So, rammang-rammang means a set of cloud or fog. According to the local believe this place was named Rammang-Rammang because of the clouds or fog that always appearing around the area, especially in the morning or when it rains.

We will pick you up at the airport, hotel or other place in Makassar city, after a short introduction with our crew, we will soon be heading to Leang-Leang Archeological Site with scenery of Karts hills formed by natural process and thousands year old prehistoric cave , then we will go to Pute River and follow the river stream to visit Ramang-Ramang village, in this village we can enjoy Beautiful green vast farm area surrounded by karts hills. Lunch will be served while enjoying this beautiful panorama.

On the afternoon we will leave Ramang-Ramang and drive back to Makassar, it takes around 2 hours drive. In Makassar we will take you to visit Losari beach and enjoy it wonderful sunset panorama. Next we will transfer you back to your hotel, airport or any other places in Makassar city. Tour ends.
