Selogriyo is located in a remote location at the foot of Mount Sumbing among the houses of residents in the village of Kembangkuning – Windusari District – Magelang.
This temple is thought to be a relic of the Sanjaya dynasty from the 8th century AD. When found, this temple was badly damaged, then restored by a team of archaeologists, so that we can see it as it is today.
To reach this temple, you have to walk through a path between terraced rice fields that are very beautiful, here you will get a calm and peaceful atmosphere typical of the countryside, occasionally you may meet villagers who are going to work or returning from their fields.
