Sukamade beach is one of the most interesting tour attractions in the area of intensive use zones of Meru Betiri National Park (TNMB). Located approximately 97 km to the southwest of the city of Banyuwangi, precisely within the territory of Sukamade Hamlet, at Sarongan Village, Pesanggrahan district, Banyuwangi regency.
The beach is truely potential for Eco tourism activities, Some attractions you can do there are observing nesting turtles, watching hatching turtles egg in incubation places, release turtle babies to the ocean, bird watching, observation rafflesia flowers, and canoeing.
This place can only be accessed using 4WD car as the road is extremly rocky ascending the mountains and passing the rivers, it is really unforgottable moment to feel this experience.
Another attractions on the way to this amazing beach you can also visit Green bay beach, called as it is because we can see this beach is green from the distance, it is small white sandy beach surrounded by rock cliff, just like a hidden paradise. You have to get down along the narrow path within the trees for around 30 minutes, passing beach stones and crossing small forest and then you can enjoy this beautiful beach.
Don’t imagine that it is truely “red island” or anything like red sandy beach but it is a beautiful beach, there is a small mighty rock island in this beach and local peoples called it “red island”, the beach name refered to this island’s name. It is a long beautiful beach with a good waves for surfing activities but still it sunset attract many tourist to visit it.

09:00am We will pick up you at your hotel or any places inside Banyuwangi city, take simple introduction with our crew and short brief of the tour. Then we will travel to the south west of Banyuwangi to Meru Betiri national park, this trip will takes total 5 hours drive through the forest and passing rivers.
00:30pm We will stop at Green bay, trek down small path, stop at Stone beach and then continue to the green bay, it is white sandy beach surrounded by rocky cliff, just like a hidden paradise.
02:00pm Continue drive to Sukamade beach, passing some rivers and stop at Sukamade guest house, this guest house provided by national park for it officer and tourists.
03:30pm Check in the guest house and free time.
07:00pm A simple dinner will be served at cafeteria.
08:00pm Start finding nesting turtles, a ranger will tell you some instructions before doing this tour and accompany you during this activity. This attraction will be ended at midnight and the back to the guest house and rest whatever the result.
06:00am We will go to Sukamade beach with a turtle babies inside the basket and release it to the ocean, prepare your camera take your picture.
07:00am Back to guest house, free time and have a breakfast.
08:00am Transfer back to Banyuwangi, it takes around 5 hours drive.
02:00pm Finish the tour in Banyuwangi.
Note : If you add the tour to Red island beach, then we will do it before finishing the tour and we will reach Banyuwangi in late afternoon.
